By the beginning of playoffs however pollard was acquired via trade to shore up my own handcuffs. I had Zeke last year and did not draft pollard. There’s a time for that and it’s the latter end of the season when gearing up for a playoff run. You have your own RB1 producing high value and you have a backup RB you took in 10-13 rd who now gives you higher production than that draft value.įor me, the draft is never where you take care of your handcuffs. In the same scenario except with you drafting another players backup whose starter gets injured, you have a net positive. You have a net negative and in some rare cases (mattison, pollard, etc…) you maintain the status quo.
